Beechcrofts' run ends in the hands of Dublin Coffman
With the talent that Beechcroft had on their team, and coming in second in the city league
north division, how far would they be able to make a run in the state play-offs?
This district semi-final match up would not come down to X's & O's, but who wanted it more.
From the onset of the game, Dublin made the extra plays, and beechcroft seemed nathargic.
At times it seemed as if the cougars were shocked on how well the shamrocks were playing.
With that being mentioned, beechcroft was only down by four points after one quarter.
Beechcroft settled down in the second quarter, and they began to look like the team we seen
for the past 21 games of this season. The only thing that was still hampering them was the fact
that dublin continued to outrebound, and out hustle them. At the half, the score was 29 to 27,
shamrocks.
In the second half, dublin came out with the same surge as they did in the first half. Beechcroft
would battle back, and put theirselves in position to tie the game several times. But that
oppurtunity never came, and the shamrocks held on tight for the four point victory. Good
season for the Beechcroft Cougars, though I am sure they are not satisfied with this loss.
